We cant dress down every day, sometimes we have to dazzle em’ with our ability to clean up real nice. When the three piece suit is in full effect, the perfect accent is a good pair of cufflinks. These YSL cufflinks are the perfect way to incorporate some gangsterizim into your monkeysuit. My theory is that if I engrave my name into the links then i own the bullet with my name on it and therefore cannot be killed, make sense? Probably not but for $250 i’m buying good fashion and invulnerability. Wise investment
Apparently the Brothers Thornton Still got it 4 Cheap, but who knew they got it for free? With the album on the verge and 2 videos in the can with more to come, its about time to start putting some product in the streets. The Clipse saw fit to see to it that there was something to hold over the music deprived until the release of “Til’ the Casket Drops” this fall. These Samplers should be coming soon to your local Play Cloths dealers and music stores.
With all the big things that have been going on in music as we roll into the Summer, i would be remiss if i didn’t speak on the new project by our boy Curtains. The Brooklyn raised L.A. Living MC has released an ambitious mixtape not only documenting him as an MC, but the struggles of people in general, getting money, getting respect and getting over.
He’s honesly the best MC to be named after home decor that i’ve ever heard.
Clipse have been hitting stages across America in preparation for the onslaught of the upcoming album. Just recently the headlined at The Nokia Theater in Los Angeles gracing the stage with upstart west coaster Diz Gibran and Skata ternt Rappa, Terry Kennedy. Myspace managed to catch up with all the evening’s participants for short interviews.
How many Clipse interviews can you fit on one blog? I’m shooting for world record status.
The team of Alchemist and OhNo come together to form Gangrene, a mixture of nominal Producer/Rappers putting out phenomenal product. This song and video go extra hard taking injecting levity into images from the L.A. Riots which one would think is an impossible feat.
I’m actually waiting for the NY Knicks to win a championship so i can steal procure a new television in the ensuing riots, but by the time NYC wins the chip we’ll be slaves to the newly self aware androids in a post apocalyptic terrordome.
Back to back champs, the machine never stops. The larger plan for the Clipse is going to be rolling out videos for the duration of the Summer, so you’re going to be seeing alot of pics and “Making of” vids in the coming weeks. This time its for the Clipse official first single “I’m Good” featuring Pharell (”Kinda Like a Big Deal” was just a teaser record). Filmed out in L.A. over the weekend, it features the trapping of any good Summer video: Cars, Women, Houses and large sums of money being spent.
Being that video shows on television have gone the way of the dinosaur, the internet is the new VJ. That being said we’re proud to present the new Clipse x Kanye West video that we’ve been dangling in your face like carrot in front of a donkey cart for the past few weeks.
Breathtaking imagery, stunning colors and lots of rappity rap make this a must watch.
“Til The Casket Drops” September ‘09 or until someone tells me different
