Thanks to the investigative skills of Play Cloths commenter Vla3d, we have a pic of 50 rocking the Play Cloths Summer V-Neck in his upcoming movie “Caught in the Crossfire”. It looks like for a stretch of his acting chop, 50 will be playing a guy with a gun pointed at him instead of his usual role, a guy pointing a gun at someone else. I smell Oscars!
You don’t have to be a fan, but you gotta respect him. Soulja boy takes to the streets, Lambo cruising in the vid for his new song (Which coincidentally is a display of some very questionable rapping) “I got Mojo” wearing the black “You’re It” Jacket. I would have hoped some of that Clipse rap skill would rub off with the purchase of a Play Cloths item. I should know better tho, i have all 3 seasons and my rap career is still on milk carton status. Album dropping Two thousand never.
It’s hard to get excited about a video about a video, but actually watching this video condenses the 12 hour day that we put in into a seven minute action packed hugfest rivaling Google as the best thing to ever happen to the internet.
If the internet was in a recession, the “Kind of like a Big Deal” video shoot was the stimulus package. The content coming out of just that one day is going to give us something to talk about for the next few weeks. This video, courtesy of Ferris Bueller gives us Kanye showing us his LV shoes between takes and an irate Pusha T voicing his displeasure about his lack of West inspired footwear.
Working on the weekend sucks. We’ll… most of the time. Unless you’re Chief Hamburger tester or a Boob Inspector, or if your job entails hanging out with the Clipse and Kanye West for the day. This weekend, the superstar collaborators settled in a quaint Brooklyn neighborhood to shoot the video for “Kinda like a big deal” the lead single off of “Til’ the casket drops” and invited some friends to come through and check out the creation of this artistic endeavor.
There were a lot of camera’s snapping that day and i’ll be sure to post other folks documentation of the event, but for now, here are the pics i snapped of the day.
More Flicks after the Jump
With all the self aggrandizing and social tap dancing that we at Play Cloths and the Clipse respectively have to to do to keep our brands prominent, the realization that friends, family and fans are the reason that we exist at all is never to far from our minds.
Ferris Bueller has been a friend of the Clipse and PC since day zero. Check out his site where he displays the best of fashion, culture and things that i can’t afford or may have stolen and sold on ebay in weeks past.
Also check out the above clip where the Clipse put him on blast for not wearing his Play Cloths and he subsequently puts me on blast for not giving him any.
The next video will be of me jump kicking Ferris Bueller in the neck.

Thank goodness for the internet. If I had tried to explain this without visual reference you guys would think i spent my days eating Lean Cuisine and watching Sex and the City Reruns with my cats.
“So um… theres this shirtless guy, he jumps on balls and rolls around on em. Then he pops up and winks at me”
All that not withstanding, this is the display of the miracles of Physics and my attempts at recreating this trick are some of the reasons for my partial brain damage.
The brothers Thornton are about to start the grueling procees of making the rounds promoting the new album. A select group of internet saavy fans were able find their way to an invite only showing by the Clipse at NYC’s Webster Hall. Streetlevel.com caught up with the guys and shot off a few questions about Play Cloths and the new album before they hit the stage.
Y’all debuted Play Cloths at Magic in ‘08. How have you been refining it since then?
P: We just been trying to get on calendar with the s***. This is our third season out and this is our first season on calendar with summer. We’ve already sold it. It’s great. People love it. The first two seasons were just as good too. It looked really good in the stores and everybody liked it so [we're] just pushing forward and creating more and preparing for the future.
Check out the rest of the interview here.
I’m gonna be honest with you an tell you that i have no idea where this is going, but i’m friggin’ riveted.
