“With the new season now upon us, Play Cloths welcomes yet another campaign of goods with the first delivery of its Spring/Summer lineup. Following an aesthetic reflective of 90s nautical wear, the line does a nice job of incorporating vibrant colors into its usual range of grey and red hues. Featured are knits, lightweight outerwear, and accessories, all of which are just the beginning of what should be another well-received season for the Clipse-owned label.” - L. Ruano

Broadcast before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLIV, NBA stars Dwight Howard and LeBron James star in a remake of iconic 1993 Super Bowl commercial The Showdown, which featured hall-of-famers Michael Jordan and Larry Bird in trick-shot competition for a Big Mac and fries. The new commercial titled “Check This” pits James against Howard in their own unique take on the battle for a Big Mac. The TV ad also features the reappearance of Larry Bird. Joe Pytka, commercial director for McDonalds original 1993 Super Bowl spot, also filmed the remake. Check This was filmed in Indianapolis at Conseco Fieldhouse in early January, 2010. “When we got a look at a sample pair of these Nike Air Max 1s, they just looked like a nice colourway for warm weather.  Turns out that they’re the first in what we expect to be a long line of World Cup related kicks.  These AM1s aren’t explicitly soccer-oriented, but the orange and white palette is sure to have you picturing the Dutch football kits.  You probably won’t be able to wait until July to wear them, so why wait to cop?  They’re available today at Canada’s Livestock.” - via SneakersNews
